Statue of Liberty Art Project, Mini Unit Printable, Naming Liberty, and All Things Wonderful Link-Up

During the month of July my little girls wanted to learn all about "The Statue of Liberty". They had so much fun learning fun facts about The Statue of Liberty, how it was made, the story behind the artist whose vision became a lifelong achievement, reading the wonderful book: Naming Liberty, by Jane Yolen, looking at real photographs of The Statue of Liberty, and of course making this cute art project.

CLICK HERE to download this Statue of Liberty Activities Packet. The packet contains everything listed in this post plus the actual patterns needed to make this darling "Statue of Liberty Paper Plate Art Project". The packet contains a step by step tutorial to make "The Statue of Liberty Paper Plate Art Project". My little girls are still playing with their masks they made. Here is Little Blonde and Little Red showing of their cute finished "Statue of Liberty Art Project". They both added long eyelashes and pretty lips to Lady Liberty.

You will receive these great pictures of the Statue of Liberty. I have also compiled a list of fun and interesting facts after doing a little research. I felt like I was back in school working on a research project. :0) My girls loved learning about these fun facts. Naming Liberty, by Jane Yolen is the book we read to go along with this mini unit. I have included my review in the packet you can download. Naming Liberty is a FABULOUS book. I am definitely going to purchase it and add it to our personal library. Speaking of libraries, don't you just love going to the public library? We usually go once a week. Sometimes even more in the summertime.
You don't just have to talk about "The Statue of Liberty" during the month of July. You can study this amazing piece of artwork and symbolism of liberty throughout the year.

All Things Wonderful Link-Up

I haved decided to change my link party to Wednesdays. Mondays were just a little too tricky for me to get my posts ready. Now it is time for you to link up a "wonderful" post from your blog or website. It could be a wonderful tutorial, something you have done with your children, a favorite recipe, DIY craft project, decorating ideas, wonderful things you have found in blog land, etc.

Come join the fun every Wednesday. Link up to this post, and let us know what is going on over at your blog. This link list will be active until Tuesday evening. Thanks for all of those that stopped by last week.

Link up Rules (short and sweet):
1. Please type in the direct link to the post you are sharing, not your blogs home page.
2. Use a short title describing your post you are sharing. ie. Kids Snack Idea @myshaenoe
3.All links shared must be family friendly, and not contain anything offensive or inappropriate as far as pictures, language, and content, etc.
4. If you want to make my day, you could always follow my blog and/or include my "All Things Wonderful Link Up Button" to your post or somewhere on your blog. Thanks a million!

I am linking this post to all of the great link parties on my sidebar. Look on the right hand side to find the individual blog buttons and to link up your great ideas.
