Barbie House Christmas Decorations, DIY Barbie Fireplace, and FREE Vintage Barbie Inspired Coloring Page

Barbie House Christmas Decor
Several weeks ago I read this post from Pink and Green Mama's Blog about decorating their Barbie house for Christmas. I immediately knew that this was something the girls and I would have fun doing together. Little Blonde and Little Red are so creative and they love their Barbies. The funny thing is Pink and Green Mama girls and my girls have the same vintage Barbie House from the 70's. This is the exact same house my sisters and I had growing up.
DIY Barbie Fireplace

I was trying to figure out something special to make for the girls and they told me they needed a fireplace to hang their stockings they were making for their Barbies. So, I took that idea an ran with it. I found an empty jewelry box, some felt, and a branch from a tree, and after a little cutting and some glue, this is what I came up with:
I love how the homemade fireplace turned out, and most importantly my girls loved it!
In this picture you can see the finished fireplace, the stockings my girls made, the darling Santa Doll my 5 year old "Little Red" made, and the cute Santa's bag my 7 year old "Little Blonde" sewed and made all by herself.
More Barbie House Christmas Decor
Besides the fireplace, I also made Christmas Bedspreads and matching pillows for my girls Barbie Beds. Little Red made this cute little "Ho, Ho, Ho" Christmas decoration for her Bratz doll.
You can see the clever Christmas Tree Little Blonde made for their nursery in this picture.
Here is an up close picture of her homemade Christmas Tree made from tissue paper, tape, and the bottom of a Barbie table.

Here is one of the Barbie rooms with a hanging decoration made by Little Blonde, as well as a Christmas flower pot also made by Little Blonde.

Barbie Celebrations Original Drawing Coloring Page
My daughters love to color, and I love to draw, so I decided to illustrate a special Vintage inspired Barbie Coloring Page for them for Christmas. I wanted Barbie to be holding a Christmas present, but it could also be used as a Barbie Birthday Coloring Page as well.
I used this fun vintage coloring book from the 80's that I have in my collection as my inspiration. It brought back so many memories and I really wanted to capture the same style of how Barbie's face and hair were drawn. I just love the use of lines and space throughout the coloring book. So, what do you think? I just printed the coloring page out for my girls and they are very happily coloring away at this moment.

Wow! Barbie's really lucky that you made such wonderful additions to her home. Seriously though, those are gorgeous. If my mom had done that for me (eons ago), I would have been thrilled. Excellent work!

Oh my goodness, that is so cool! It makes me wish I still had Barbies because with a cool house like that I would totally be down there playing along too. hahaha! You are such a fun Mom!
