Apple Stamping and Apple Themed Books

To go along with our apple themed unit we decided to do some apple stamping. My girls and their friend had so much fun! I even joined in on the fun.
What you need:
  • Apples
  • Paint (we used red, green, and yellow)
  • A container for the paint (we used recycled salad container lids)
  • Paper
Once your materials are all ready, it is time to start having fun. I cut the apples in half and then the girls started stamping wherever they wanted to on paper. They didn't just do one painting, they did several!
I loved the girls finished compositions and we will definitely be doing this again!
Here are a few of our favorite apple books that we read.

Max and Mo Go Apple Picking by Patricia Lakin would go perfectly with this activity. In the story two school hamsters make apple prints.
